The theme is an important part of your WordPress blog, there is plenty of paid and free themes available on the internet and I suggest you, in the beginning, should go with free themes.
You can also try some of the paid themes like solopine themes, I personally liked all themes from solopine and i already used the theme in my food blog yummy taste food, and I am fully satisfied with the theme performance.
